flagman (2017)

The MC Showroom
2017 Melbourne Fringe Festival

It’s 1973 in Melbourne and the Vietnam War is winding down as a family gather on a sweltering hot day in the suburbs. Judy is making lamb, Ruben is decoding messages through the radio, Uncle Garry pays an unexpected visit, Vicky has a guest and Kelly can’t stop drawing pictures of Flagman. Three generations of war collide under one roof as the presence of a fading imaginary superhero makes himself known.
